Mecha E1 Time-lapse

This was my first attempt at shooting a time-lapse with the Mecha at a live event.

This was at a 50th wedding anniversary.  I already knew that I would create the video at 24 fps so I did some math beforehand.  I also knew I only wanted one minute of time-lapse video shot within a five hour period.  This was to cover most of the evening's activities.

So here's the math...

1 minute of video (60 seconds) @ 24 fps....  24 x 60 = 1440 images required.  Enter this in "number of moves"

I decided I wanted the pan within a 50° limit shooting at 12mm focal length...  50° / 1440 = 0.034°.  Enter this in degree field.  I saved this in Load 1.

As back up I created a 45° (@ 0.031°) and 35° (@ 0.027°) and saved in Load 2 and Load 3 respectively.

Then take the time period of 5 hours (in seconds = 18000 seconds) divided by the number of shots required of 1440...  18000 / 1440 = 12.5 seconds interval.  Enter this in "Pause"

I set the speed at 3 RPM due to the weight of the camera.  This is to hopefully reduce vibrations from the weight of the camera when it stops at the next shot. A better option is to add a delay before the shot by using "W, B, E, A" (Wake, Before, Exposure, After).  A simple 0,12.5,0,0 value in the field will add 12.5 seconds delay before shutter actuation.

Setting up at the venue...  I tested the 50° angle to make sure I covered the area I wanted.  I set the degree field to 50 and the number of moves to "1".  I clicked on 1 x Right and 1 x Left to check coverage.  Once I was satisfied I clicked on Load 1 to load my preset.
