I preassembled this
step before mounting it on the tailgear flange.
Make sure the brass
roller lines up properly. |

Lines up perfectly.
Use shims #52 to
remove end play. Do a test spin, without main
blades, to make sure the tail shaft is not moving
laterally. |

CRASH NOTES
Another part I always
replace after a crash regardless of its survival is the
tail shaft. (#217). I also check the bearing #68
for smoothness.
Check #346; make sure
it's straight. After several crashes I realized
the tail slider was binding on the tail shaft and
couldn't figure out why. This part was the cause.
