Auto Test Flight

GPS Signal Acquisition

Here's a sample of how fast full GPS signal can be acquired.

(Speed will vary)

ATTITUDE

The system maintains upright attitude of the helicopter but will not hold position.  The heli will drift with the wind.  Suitable for indoor or where GPS signal is weak.

GPS ATTITUDE

Similar to ATTITUDE with the addition of GPS.  When the sticks are in center the helicopter will hold position and altitude.

GPS CRUISE

3ms

When you give full cyclic the heli will pitch forward to achieve set speed.  Then it will pull back once the speed has been achieved and continue to fly in its current attitude.

GPS CRUISE

10ms

GPS CRUISE

20ms

Semi Auto Take Off / Landing

Semi means you still have to control the helicopter's rate of ascent and descent.  Also you still have control with the cyclic.

To take off you can either use NORMAL or IDLE1 and move the throttle stick to mid position.  The helicopter will begin to climb.

To have the motor shutdown you must be in "NORMAL" flight mode.

To land slowly lower the throttle stick until the helicopter begins to gently descend.  Maintain a constant slow descent until the helicopter lands.   Do not move the throttle stick rapidly downwards.

Notice in the last landing, where the rotor continued to spin, I was in IDLE1 then switched to NORMAL mode to shutdown the motor.
